I pledge to read the printed word

I love books. From the Harry Potter series, The Hunger Games trilogy to Edgar Allan Poe’s compilation of short stories, Jane Austen novels, I love reading to the extent that I’m now (and I assume forever) wearing eye glasses.
1. The ELLEments of personal style — I was ecstatic when my dad finally bought me a copy!
2. Parisian Chic by the ever eternal icon Ines de la Fressange
3. The Business of fashion designing, manufacturing & marketing —- 6 books for a term is such a small number with the fact that College of St. Benilde’s School of Design & Arts’ library is so full of amazing reads!
Hat Candy

Lately, my little sister been buying more and more hats… I guess she has an eye for trendy things too.

‘Tis the Season!

I don’t have much updates, I’ve been enjoying my time doing nothing. So here are some photos from a while back for Stache taken by the amazing Pat Nabong just to post a little something something.
Weeeeell, I’m not entirely doing nothing.
Graduation ball and prom season are finally here so I might be a bit busy! It’s been around 2 years since I got out of high school and suprisingly I’m still enjoying every prom season!
Prom means you’re going to work with students (and sometimes dun dun dun the mothers) which means most of them are pretty much on a tight budget.. and that’s where I come in. A design student enjoying every learning process along the way and most of the time, in dire need of money. Prom season is a real time internship you guys, you have to deal with the 3 Ms: Mothers, money and your mananahi! But since I’m still a student, I need to prioritize and need not rush into things. I just think of these as a really big DIY project!
Coincidentally, thank God it’s the award season.
Let the red carpet inspiration begin!
P.S. I don’t have a portfolio yet but I’m just an email away, kids! Hahaha.
Paint it What

Proud Race - Spring Summer 2012
A cult to represent everything that they believed in and loved from their youth. It is a collection of restrained recklessness and go-to-uniforms of anyone who wants to be part of their gang. - Not Just a Label
I know. This is the shit collection must be the best.
Another amazing collection by duo behind the geeeenius Proud Race.
The endless 90s vibe, the long dress, (you might not notice) the slouchy bag & dainty rock-n-roll wallet, the hat, the baggy classic black tee, the sheer, the Versace logo, the cropped top and I can go on and on and on about the whole lookbook.
Just, damn it guys, take a look at that magnificence.

Some things about me: I don’t care interested don’t have the penchant for make-up. I have a zebra print curtain. I love DC Cupcakes. I don’t know how to bake. The only thing I can contribute in the kitchen is to wash the dishes. I suck at cooking.
So surprise, I made something edible for dinner.
After endless episodes of watching Giada on the Lifestyle Channel with my mom, I’ve finally cooked something that my siblings would finally eat without a complaint.
White Lady

Ever since I saw Rihanna’s white ensemble (against her amazing skin and hair) last year, I’ve been in love with everything white. And this editorial just solidifies it.
My love for billowy, huge skirts is getting intense by the moment, too.

Let’s say you are in an environment where 50 women are dressed in mini-dresses, body stretch, or something with a clear accentuation of the body, and then there is this woman who is very much the opposite—she would have a white shirt on, say, and a huge, couture inspired skirt.
Me, as a person, automatically I would be much more attracted to that woman, because she has a fascinating and different approach.
She stands against all others.
I think, Who is she?
What is she about?
What’s her psychology?
Why does she do this?
Typical Acne

Acne Resort 2012 … and they did it again.
I’m a sucker for crisp white button downs and any over sized clothing. And Acne just made me fall in love again!
I am still under the spell of their monotonous, minimal staples and the generous pop of color just adds the perfect amount of spunk to shake things up a little bit for the minimal approach they always deliver.
I’m just in love again.
Unforgivable
If our climate’s a bit colder, I might, just might, wear fur everyday. Faux fur that is.
You might have heard a lot of things about animal violence around the globe, but lately here in the Philippines, it has been a rampant from the torture videos you’ve seen online to the recent discovery of bulldog fights in the North.
And to make a stand, together with photographer Miguel Miranda and Wanderlust, STRIP: Ministry of Waxing Manila for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or simply known as PETA, presents UNFURGIVABLE, a fashion show and photo exhibit featuring faces the likes of Jasmine Curtis-Smith, actress, and Phoemela Baranda, president of PMAP.
Hitting the beach but ain’t leavin’ my blacks

Forzieri Wicker and Leather Barrel bag, John Lennon glasses via vogue.it, Lanvin Big Picture hat, Pinterest bikini top, Mulberry full black tafetta skirt, Kate Spade bangles, Solestruck Won Hundred Nine platforms
What you see here is more or less what I’ve already packed for a beach trip. You won’t be seeing me leaving my black pieces alone at home, no, no, no. I’ll miss them too much (even though it’s kindov weird to wear black to the beach but what the hell, I just wore black last Christmas).
They need to see the sun and the beach too, you know.
Anyway, I’m packed, got the whole Watch the Thrones album on my phone and my alarm is set for tomorrow!
Happy New Year!
